- PERFORMED DIAGNOSTIC CHECK FOR TROUBLE CODES: P0420 Vehicle had trouble code P0420 stored in the computers memory. Performed flow chart testing for trouble code P0420. Testing reveled a faulty catalytic converter. Recommended replacing the catalytic converter for trouble code P0420. Test drove vehicle multiple times for the customers transmission concern. Test drive revealed a very intermittent hard down shift at times. Can not duplicate concern consistently and no transmission trouble codes are stored at time of service. Transmission fluid is clean and at the correct level. Advised customer to return vehicle if symptoms become more frequent or taking vehicle to a transmission shop for further diagnosis.
